RELATIONSHIP BUILDING GROUNDWORK CLINIC 4/15-4/17 WITH PIET NIBBELINK
This 3-day clinic will all be conducted on the ground.
Participants are asked to come with a wide open mind and HEART. It's all about the horse and what we bring to the table. The level of mindfulness and subtleties of body language (ours & our horses) that Piet teaches is amazing.
Piet studied with Klaus Hempfling. Don't miss this opportunity to learn the beginning steps of Dance with Horse.
7 Participants Max
Piet asks "how does the horse feel?" he asks us to consider what the
horse is thinking/feeling and how the horse tells us in his actions,
(the following from PIet's website) "A horse
only has one question. Does it feel good here, or not? If it feels good,
the horse will stay, if not, the horse will go away. In our
communication with horses we have the responsibility to create an
environment for the horse where it feels good. Or better yet, to create
an environment where the horse feels better than somewhere else. To
accomplish this, we need to learn about horses, but also, we need to
learn about ourselves."
Full clinic participants will be
working daily with their own horses or one of the farm horses and
possibly other horses as well. FEE $500. $100 deposit secures spot. Spots non-refundable, but transferable.
Auditors will join in on the rope skills training and exercises without the horses. FEE $80 (3 days), $30 daily Maximum 15 auditors.
Overnight Stabling $15/night (choice of paddock or stall)
Participate with a horse from the farm for $20/day
Proof of Negative Coggins required before unloading

Welcome to Healing Spirit Farm!
"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." --Ghandi.
Healing Spirit Farm is located on Streaked Mountain at 93 S. Whitman School Rd in Buckfield, Maine. We enjoy sweeping views of the western mountain chain, miles of beautiful old carriage roads for trail riding, acres of pasture and open fields, an indoor 70 x 100 riding arena and farm ponds.
What point in your journey are you at? Do you have a sense of your direction? Are you clear about what you'd like to manifest in your daily life? Are you able to find comfort in the moment? When you are with your horse are you fully present or is your mind being pulled away to other places? Have you noticed that your horse is "naughty" when you're less present, more anxious about something, unfocused?
The emphasis of our site is on natural horse-keeping, but we hold all animals dear to our hearts and plan to offer health and care tips for dogs, cats and other animals as well. This is a full service equine facility with a focus on naturally keeping our horses. More about what we feed and why. I was born and raised here with a variety of animals on the farm. I have been riding and caring for horses since I was a toddler (trust me it's a long time). Since experiencing some personal health issues it has become a passionate pursuit to uncover everything possible about natural ways of feeding, supplementing, pasturing, treating ailments and partnering with our animals. My husband, Steve Scotia Equine Dental Care is an equine dentist who has been practicing for several years. He travels throughout New England and gets lots of practice with the home herd as well. Please check out the Equine Dentist page of this site for more information about how, and why yearly appointments with your horse dentist are important.
